Will you sell a breeding pair of dogs? No, I sell pet quality dogs only. A spay/neuter contract must be signed. Will you ship outside the Continental United States? No. It is cost prohibitive to do so, and many countries have strict quarantine laws. Are these dogs really hypo allergenic? Because these dogs produce less allergens and dander, most allergic people can own them. Should allergic people ask for a hair sample first before a purchase? Yes, even though these dogs are allergy sufferer friendly, severely allergic persons may have a reaction. Do you allow kennel visits? Yes (See below).     By appointment only, if puppies are available.     Visits are limited to 30 minutes. Can your dogs be registered with the AKC? No, but they can be registered with the National Kennel Club, The Native American Indian Dog Registry, The Native American Shepherd Registry, The Certified Pet Registry and The Dog Breed Registry of America. Generally, people who compete in dog shows will register their dogs. Are these dogs’ wolf or coyote hybrids? No. No.  and NO.!! This breed has a similar look to both as do Malamutes and Siberian Huskies. Beware of the so called "Wolf Experts" or what I like to call the "Wolf police".  Many times they confuse husky or malamute crosses as wolf dogs because of the caudal gland located on the tail.  If you are looking to purchase a wolf hybrid (the correct term is "wolf dog"), contact me and I will refer you to a reputable wolf dog breeder. Can I get a student discount? No. If you are a student, your studies should come first, before purchasing a dog. Are these dogs good with children? Yes, however, no dog should substitute as a baby sitter for small children.  Small children should be supervised around puppies at all times due to the teething and rough play that puppies commonly exhibit during adolesence. Do these dogs dig and poop a lot? Yes, both!! Do these dogs shed?     Yes, most shed only once a year. Changes in food or life-style can cause them to shed more.     The smaller dogs tend to shed twice a year. Can these dogs be kept as an inside dog only? Do you value your furniture? Can your dogs be crate trained? Yes, all animals can be taught to crate. Crate training can be a wonderful training aid, if taught properly. Why do you offer two sizes of Native American Indian Dogs? The smaller Plains Indian Dogs weigh about 40 pounds and are well suited for people with smaller yards. The larger Hare Indian Dogs can weigh up to 100 pounds, and can be difficult to handle for height challenged people. Night Eyes Farms is the only kennel that breeds the smaller NAID. Do you breed for blue eyes in the larger dogs? Yes, We are expecting to produce the larger, blue eyed NAID's late 2006. What is the difference between a Native American Indian dog and an American Indian dog? I am very happy to answer questions about my NAID’s. Any questions about another breed or breeder should be directed to that person. Help! I purchased a puppy from another breeder, and now I'm having problems, will you help me? No. You need to contact the breeder directly, or hire a professional to aid you. I can only aid those who have purchase pups directly from me. How much do your dogs cost? See Sales Agreement. Will you ship? How much does it cost? Yes. See Sales Agreement. Is it safe to ship puppies? Yes. Live cargo is big business for the airlines. All airlines have FCC regulated guidelines that they must follow. Puppies travel in a pressurized, temperature controlled area. Puppies are not allowed to ship before they are 8 weeks old. We recommend picking your puppy up or having your puppy shipped via Pet Taxi during the summer months because of the heat. Airlines will not allow live animals when the temperatures rise above 80 degrees. I will  use a pet taxi service during the summer months when airlines will not ship.  Pet taxi offers door to door service and most offer services that are competitive to airline costs.  When puppies are shipped via pet taxi, they are sent COD, however you are responsible for the required travel documents which is $65.00 and must be included with the final payment of your pup. I bought a puppy from you, and the puppy is chewing every thing up!! What do I do? Have you enrolled "Fido". in a professional puppy class? The instructor will be able to help you and the puppy to survive annoying adolescent behaviors. Help!!  I'm having training issues with my puppy!! The first thing I am going to ask you is "Have you enrolled your pup in a professional training class?"  Which you agreed to do when you purchased the pup.  If you have not, then please do so. If you are still having problems after completing the class, you may contact me. Help!! My puppy pooped and peed on the carpet. I rubbed his nose in it and then threw him outside. How do I potty train him? Shame on you! Would you do that to a human baby? Puppies are no different than humans, and should never, never be hit.  There are many valuable books available that can aid you with potty training your pup. You may also hire a professional. I notice that breeder X is selling puppies for less money. Will you match their price if I buy from you? No, puppies are only reduced in price if:  Two pups are purchased and are shipped at the same time. You will save about 200.00 .  A pup is over 12 weeks of age.  A puppy has a "mismatched" coat (colors that are undesirable in the breed standard). If these dogs are so great, why are they required to attend a puppy class? All sweet-natured, slightly reserved breeds have the potential for submissiveness and shyness, and this is true of the NAID. Early socialization is required to build a confident temperament. Puppies, like children do not know right from wrong. Both need guidance to become good citizens. A puppy class aids in puppy socialization with other humans, puppies and different situations. A trained professional is on hand to help address any issues.  Unlike most breeders,  dog professionals attend regular training classes which teach current and updated training methods to aid pups and owners. Breeders are not  responsible for the care and training of pups once they leave for their new homes. NAID dogs sound too good to be true, do they require any training? Yes.  Like children, all dogs need to be trained.  All puppies must attend a puppy class, and one basic obedience class to become good canine citizens, and good representatives of the breed. A well behaved dog also reflects well on it's owners. Are NAID's good watchdogs? Gentleness and non-aggression are his hallmarks. Most will bark to announce visitors, but that's the extent of their guarding inclination. Are These dogs good for only dog households? Very people-oriented and especially attuned to children,NAIDS require daily companionship (either by humans or other dogs) and can become bored and destructive if left alone too much. Are these dogs smart? NAID's are independent thinkers who may use their problem-solving skills to open gates and cupboards. They are also slow to mature, acting like big puppies for several years."
